A few milligrams perhaps and you are bound to go ahead with the thirst of a school bully wishing hard to exhibit his strength each moment. Girls would flock around and men would gesture to clear from you vicinities. That’s why the advice is always to buy Cialis, to buy it and taste the true flavor of life.

OWWW, My Face! Here’s A Website For Help

June 8th, 2007 · No Comments

We’re looking in this Friday series at pain organization websites that have great sections for patients.  Stephanie asked about help for Trigeminal Neuralgia, so I’m featuring this site today:

Trigeminal Neuralgia Association

Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) is a neurological disease which causes intense, electric shock pain on one side of the face.  The disorder affects the 5th cranial nerve, called the trigeminal nerve, so the pain travels to the parts of the face where branches of this nerve go – forehead, and upper and lower cheek.  Less commonly, TN can cause a duller, burning or aching pain, or can affect both sides of the face.

As is true of nerve pain, it’s hard to treat.  Although continual chronic pain is difficult, having unpredictable bouts of stabbing pain can be just as challenging.  The site offers:

  • basic information about TN
  • options for treatment
  • support group information

I hope this site is helpful to Stephanie and others!

You’re invited to send in your own recommendations of professional organizations related to pain, along with why you like them, to Ask the Doctor, and I may use them for future Friday posts.

(My disclaimer states that, while I believe these websites that I feature are sound and valuable sites, I don’t monitor what they post, and as such, I don’t specifically endorse the information or services provided by them.  These organizations are solely responsible for the information they provide.)
