Today I’m finishing up our series on other blogs and websites that are interesting and full of important information. And #8 is…
Psychology of Pain, written by Dr. Gary B. Rollman.
![]()
Dr. Rollman is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. His site in a compilation of news articles, medical education, book and website reviews, and more. It differs from some of the other sites I’ve posted, as it’s not his personal story. However, it has many valuable posts and links, and is very educational. Take a moment to check it out…
As a researcher, he’s written many journal articles on how pain differs in men and women, and the effect past pain has on future pain. (This latter topic is fascinating - see one of my previous posts, Pain Brings On MORE Pain). Dr. Rollman is an alum of the University of Rochester, where I went to medical school. And he went to school in Philly too. Small world.
So this ends our series on websites and blogs… hope you’ve found it interesting. Next, I’ll be starting a series that’ll review websites of professional organizations related to pain that are excellent. You’re invited to send in your own recommendations, along with why you like them, to Ask the Doctor, and I may use them for future Friday posts.
(My disclaimer states that, while I believe the sites that I feature are sound and valuable sites, I don’t monitor what they post, and as such, I don’t specifically endorse the information or services provided by them. The sites are solely responsible for the information they provide.)
