Pain Management // Apr 10, 2009 at 9:37 pm
To control the pain, we must attend to the specialist because we can give him what is appropriate and what we need. For example I take hydrocodone, vicodin which is medicine used to counter the chronic pain that I have for years, but I take it in moderation because I read it is a medicine that causes anxiety. We must control it as it can affect your nervous system, so do not take medicines without consultation because it really can be dangerous.

Chronic musculoskeletal pain is a pandemic problem, reaching around the globe. One of the reasons for this is that, in many cases, the cause of the pain has not been resolved (or is unknown), so only the pain itself is treated. We refer to this as pain management – the individual ends up in a lifetime of medical interventions to control their pain.
A better solution is to isolate the cause of the pain, eliminate that and the pain itself is automatically eliminated. This is referred to as pain elimination (not pain management).
Fortunately, more and more is being understood on the causes of chronic pain. One book I recommend you read is a book I just published, Forever Free From Chronic Pain. It describes a very common source of chronic pain just recently discovered and a non drug, non surgical approach to eliminate that pain.
It is available at http://www.ForeverFreeFromChronicPain.com Your comments are more than welcomed.

Recent research has linked a forward head position as one of the causes of chronic headaches.
The mechanism is thought to be Cerebral Ischemia (decrease in blood flow to the kink in a water hose – it diminishes the flow of water through that hose. The same mechanism occurs when you have a forward head position. It can potentially reduce the blood flow through the carotid arteries. (main artery from the trunk of the body to the head).
