Today continues my Friday series of what’s great out there on the web, both websites and blogs, for you to take a peek at. You’re invited to send in your recommendations for favorite websites and blogs related to pain, along with why you like them, to Submissions, and I may use them for future Friday posts. (My disclaimer states that, while I believe these are sound and valuable sites, I don’t monitor what they post, and as such, I don’t specifically endorse the information or services provided by them. These organizations are solely responsible for the information they provide.)

Today’s blog is But You Don’t Look Sick, suggested by “Linz,” (who herself has a website about living with fibromyalgia). The But You Don’t Look Sick website is an online magazine and message board support group for people with all sorts of invisible illnesses. “Linz” suggests this one as “it’s about living life to the fullest. It provides 24/7 support and has helped me a huge amount.”
I love the name of the site, as it’s one double-edged sword my patients report doing battle with all the time. I also heard it often enough myself when my own pain problems were worse. The site is a bit more commercial than I like, and strays into non-illness topics, but certainly worth a look to see how you like it.
