I’m back after vacation… HI!

Today’s topic for Monday Chat: Is the summer better or worse for you?

Sometimes heat, and a slower pace in summer, help people with pain. On the other hand, for some, heat and high humidity increase pain.

So are your symptoms better or worse this time of year?

    My vote: worse and worser.

Better! Cold really increases my hurt. But summer also encourages me to over do—which hurts!

This is an interesting topic to me. On one hand, I do find some benefit from the warmth since my CRPS is very sensitive to cold, but the air conditioning in buildings during the summer, and the increase in pain from storms can both be a problem. Also, since I’m not in school, I have to artificially create any opportunities for outings and activity. This can make it harder to keep my strength and flexibility up.
