In my meandering around the web, I’ve found some new (to me) sites you might like:
Arthritis Foundation.org: A national organization’s website, which has news and treatment information about all types of arthritis. You can also sign up for their newsletter.
TED.com (Technology, Entertainment, Design): This link has a wonderful video of Dr. Vilayanur Ramachandran speaking. Dr. Ramachandran is a groundbreaking neuroscientist at the University of California, San Diego, whose work focuses on better understanding of how our brains work, including treatments for unusual pain disorders such as phantom limb pain.
NOD.org: The National Organization of Disability’s website, whose mission is “to expand the participation and contribution of America’s 54 million men, women and children with disabilities in all aspects of life.” This site includes educational initiatives, a newsletter, and helpful links related to disability.
Take a look at these sites if they interest you. Also, feel free to send in any links that you think are good, to share with fellow readers.
