The holidays are wonderful, yet they can also increase our stress levels. I’m always on the look-out for quick soothers. Here are some I found in an Escrips newsletter (a company that lets you donate to schools when you shop.)
- Have 2 minutes?
Massage your lower back by lying on a tennis ball and rolling away tension
- 5 minutes?
At the end of your shower, alternate cool and warm water to get your circulation going. (Be careful with this one if you have RSD or another pain condition that gives you sensitive skin.)
- 10 minutes?
In a quiet room, use essential oils to energize (rosewood and citrus) or to relax (ylang-ylang or lavender). You could also add in some relaxing breathing exercises.
- 15 minutes?
Soak sore feet (too much shopping??) in a foot tub filled with warm water and bath salts.
What’s your favorite way to relax?
