Contest: What’s Your Most Creative Way To Relax?

What’s the best thing to do on a Friday in August?  Relax, right?

Well, that’s second best!  Even better is entering today’s contest here at How to Cope with Pain!!

I talk a lot about relaxation and de-stressing on this site (for example, see these relaxation exercises, relax, relax and relax).  It’s great for you – and can both decrease your pain and help you cope with it.  Now it’s time for you to share what your most creative ways to relax are…

Here’s the contest:

  1. Send in your most creative and enjoyable ways to relax by Wednesday, August 15.
  2. One winner will be announced on Friday, August 17.  The top 10 entries will be published.
  3. Entries will be judged on creativity, ease of doing, and fun.  (Bribes of $1 million and above will also be looked upon with approval ;)
  4. Enter as often as once per day, if you’re just bubbling over with relaxation ideas.

Now for the prize…

The happy winner will receive a meditation CD from the World Wide Online Meditation CenterThis is a user-friendly site, offering clear, concise meditation instructions from various meditation traditions.  Created in 1998, it was designed to help visitors feel as though they are at an actual center.  Different rooms offer:

  • tips and general info to help you get started
  • different meditation methods – some for basic meditation practice, and some for specific purposes, such as healing or centering
  • a lecture hall to provide insight regarding meditation and the path of spiritual growth
  • a discussion board where meditators can share their experiences
  • an audio meditation room, with CDs, tapes and downloadable meditations available for purchasing

    Jessica, this is a contest from a couple of years ago, though you’re still welcome to submit ideas. I frequently run relaxation videos on Fridays and might use your suggestion. The “send here” link in the article works, or you can click on the “topic suggestions” link at the top of the blog.
